1.  Player Eligibility:  Rules 6(b)  says that “No player may take part in a Final who has not played for the club at least twice during the current season in these tournaments.”   I am asking every team captain to provide me before the date with the names of their team so that their eligibility can be checked in advance.

2.  Grades:  The revised ‘e’ and ‘*’ grades issued before the Semi-Finals must be used for the Finals.  All other grades are those circulated at the start of the season.

3.  Match Times:  All matches will be played between 2.30 pm and 7.30 pm with the presentation of trophies shortly afterwards.  Team captains must arrive at 2 pm half an hour before play starts and hand in their team selection on the Match Results form for final checking.  Team captains should come to the controller at 2:15 pm to toss for colours.

4.  Rate-of-Play: This will be 48 moves in 2 hours with a 30 minute quick play finish.

5.  Match Winners:  Rule 9 (j)  says that if a match is drawn, the winner will be decided by board count or if this fails, by bottom board elimination.  Should every game be drawn, the winner will be the team which had black on board 1.

6.  Trophies:  All Clubs that won trophies last year [listed in the table below] have been  asked to arrange for them to be brought to the finals in a clean state ready for presentation after the finals.
